POLICY FOR ADVANCED AND SLOW LEARNERS

From the first year students, based on their internal assessment 1, students who fail in 2 or more than 2 subjects are identified and listed under Slow-Learner category. Coming to 2nd and 3rd year students, those students who fail in 2 or more than 2 subjects in the First year End-Semester Examination are categorized as Slow-Learners. The students who are class toppers and who scored 75% in the internal assessment 1 are identified and classified in the Advanced Learners category. The students who are the toppers and whose score is 75% in the End-Semester Examinations are designated as advanced learners in 2nd and 3rd year.

Note: In case there are no failures in any subject, those students whose score is on the border pass are classified as Slow-Learners.

For Slow-Learners:

  • Selected topics given to them for practice.
  • Motivation by Advanced Learners.
  • Special coaching classes, in addition to regular classes.
  • Instruction to read newspapers and English comics for developing their communication.
  • YouTube link where the basic concepts are explained visually is given.

For Advanced Learners:

  • Provide more number of library reference books.
  • Provision for YouTube link where they can find advanced level of learning of the topics found in the curriculum.
  • Seminar by students on the selected topics.
  • Promotion to class representatives.   
  • Opportunity for them to take the lead roles in conducting departmental activities for developing their leadership skills.
